Calling all pedantic Janeite killjoys: It’s time for you to proudly proclaim your (our) identity. At long last, the T-shirt is available for purchase.

Let me recap.

Last summer, Nebraska Janeite Tram Chamberlain created my first-ever (and, to date, only) piece of blog-inspired merch, a hilarious T-shirt featuring a phrase I’d had occasion to use as a self-description. Then she sent me one, pictured below. Naturally, I blogged about it.

Although I noted that this item would probably appeal to other blog readers, at the time Tram hadn’t set up an online sales capability. Now, however, she has: The Pedantic Janeite Killjoy design is available from her Zazzle store in a range of colors, styles, sizes, and price points. There’s a $12.12 basic T-shirt, a $38.20 zip-up hoodie, and pretty much everything in between, including a baby onesie, for the youngest pedantic Janeite killjoy in your family.

Channeling her inner Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Tram has adopted an appropriately Janeite name for her Zazzle persona—GreatProficient.

Sadly, Tram says she won’t be hawking her wares at the upcoming Jane Austen Society of North America conference in Baltimore, but that doesn’t prevent the rest of us from stocking up ahead of time. This blog has no financial interest in her enterprise, but I hope I’ll spot a few other pedantic Janeite killjoys in attendance.

Joy! Joy! I will be ordering one of these ASAP. And I agree with Rear Admiral Doublezero that a Baltimore photocall for the PJKs may be in order.

Hahaha! I had the great pleasure of Zooming w her and her region before they went back to in person events. While not fully on the team, I will certainly check out the items in honor of you both! If I purchase one and make it to Baltimore, The Flats are demanding a photo moment!

Oh, you're at least an honorary member of the team, surely!
